What is Sudoku?
Sudoku is a free logic puzzle: fill the grid so every row, column and box holds each digit exactly once. This one is made to be played every day, and never to stand in your way.
There are three new puzzles every day, the same for everyone, and a streak for keeping up with them. There are levels that go on for ever, starting with a four by four you can finish in half a minute and growing from there. They open one after another, like a map, with no lives, no energy and nothing to wait for. The first ten need no account; after that you sign in, so your progress follows you.
Play it your way. Grids run from 4×4 to 16×16, in classic, diagonal and jigsaw styles, at five difficulties, and every puzzle has exactly one solution that can be worked out by logic alone. Notes, undo, and hints that light the cells that matter are all there.
Play it with friends, too. In a co-op room everyone fills one shared grid and sees where the others are; in a race, everyone gets the same puzzle and the fastest clean solve wins. Joining takes a link and a six-digit code.
How a round of Sudoku works
- 01
Start with the pictures
A new player is asked how well they know Sudoku, and can watch a short wordless lesson. Home is the level map, with Daily, Online, Stats and Free play along the bottom.
- 02
Fill the grid
Tap a cell and a digit. Turn on Notes to pencil in guesses, undo any move, and watch the row, column and box light up so you can see what a cell sees.
- 03
Ask for a hint
A hint lights the cells that matter and names the trick. Free players get three a day; Plus explains every one, so you learn it.
- 04
Climb the map
Each level opens when you finish the one before it. They grow from a 4×4 to the full set of sizes and styles, with a breather every fifth and a boss every tenth. Three stars for a clean, quick solve.
- 05
Play with friends
Host a co-op room to fill one grid together, or a race to see who finishes first. Share the code, or open it to everyone.

Questions about Sudoku
Do I need an account?
Not for the first ten levels, the daily puzzles, or joining a room. From level 11 you sign in, so your progress is kept in your account and follows you to every phone. Signing in also puts your time on the daily leaderboard and lets you host a room.
Will I run out of levels?
No. The map has no end: every level is a puzzle made from its number, so Level 500 is the same for everyone. Each one opens when you finish the one before it.
Are there lives or timers that block me?
No. Nothing stops you from playing. The clock is only there for your stars and the leaderboard, and you can switch it off.
Is every puzzle solvable by logic?
Yes. Every puzzle has exactly one solution and can be solved without guessing. Hints name the trick that gets you to the next digit.
What is the difference between co-op and a race?
In co-op everyone fills one shared grid, and each digit is checked as it goes in. In a race everyone solves the same puzzle on their own phone, and mistakes and hints add time to yours.
What does Plus add?
Unlimited hints with an explanation, the 12×12 and 16×16 grids, puzzles you type in yourself, six more themes, two sound packs, the daily archive, full stats and streak freezes. It is Sudoku’s own Plus: other Mini games have theirs.
How do I cancel Plus?
In your store’s subscription settings, or from your account in the game. The support page walks through it.
